At the banquet of life, romance is my favorite guest. My table overflows with bursts of excitement and extra-worldly delights.
Spy serving pieces full of the delicate imprints, fragile as the hands that
prepared the food. Spy the painted sky like sorbet. Spy my hands sticky from peeling ripe figs
picked from trees that slide their tongues over the dripping wounds on their newly bare boughs.
Spy two young women leaning on one another, twisting together, touching snake-like tongues,
a spider trying to spin a web at the same pace of a young girl twirling in her dress, ribbons that grasp hold of a
flame and a sanctuary that serves as the tinderbox of a heart.
